Learn to swim Instructor
We’re looking for enthusiastic and reliable team members to join our Learn to Swim program.
If you love working with kids, have a passion for teaching, and bring a positive, friendly attitude—we want to hear from you!
Whether you're experienced or just starting out, we offer training and support to help you succeed. Afternoon and weekend availability preferred.

We also require the following certifications and/or qualifications. Don’t worry if you haven’t got all your qualifications just yet, we can arrange for you to undertake accredited training through Southern Education at a substantially discounted rate. Check out their upcoming course here.

Pool Deck Coordinator
The Pool Deck Co-Ordinator plays a key role in supporting the Learn to Swim team, ensuring lessons follow BlueFit’s program standards and run smoothly on deck. Working closely with the Swim School Manager, the PDC helps guide instructors, responds to parent feedback, and maintains a safe, positive environment. This role requires great leadership, teamwork and communication skills to support instructors and enhance the overall customer experience.

- Promote safe work practices in all aspects of daily operations and provide feedback to LTS teachers where required.
- Ensure the smooth running of daily operations for the Learn to Swim program through planning and monitoring.
- Hold all Learn to Swim (LTS) staff accountable for the responsibilities and drive continuous improvement.
- Meet regularly with the Swim School Manager, LTS teachers and to assess the progress of the LTS students.
- Ensure incidents, hazards and injuries are reported in a timely manner and information provided is of a high quality.
- Assist other team members in delivering our products and services in a professional and timely manner where required
- Proactively market BlueFit’s products and services
- Assess all learn to swim
- Make sure all teachers are following the program
- Ensure teachers are practicing vigilance in their supervision to ensure safe outcomes at all times.
- Record Parent queries and complaints.
- Setup the pool deck for the Learn to swim teachers and maintain a clean and tidy work area for the duration of the day.
- Ensuring a high quality of data is recorded where required to assist other team members in resolving potential customer issues.
- In conjunction with the Swim School Manager, provide feedback and strategies to LTS teachers to rectify deficiencies where identified.

Concierge
As a Concierge, you’ll be the first point of contact for our swim school members and potential clients—delivering exceptional customer service, supporting our programs, and ensuring everything runs smoothly at our facility. You’ll play a hands-on role across reception, swim program operations, safety compliance, and more.This is a rostered role (Monday to Sunday) with varied hours that suit active and motivated individuals.

Customer Service & ReceptionSwim Program Support
- Deliver engaging swim classes aligned with BlueFit's standards and policies.
- Assess student progress and conduct new swimmer evaluations.
- Set up, clean, and pack away equipment per operational procedures.
- Foster a safe, inclusive, and positive learning environment.
Facility & Safety
- Maintain a clean and hygienic space by following cleaning protocols.
- Adhere to all Work Health and Safety policies and report any incidents or risks promptly.
- Be ready to administer First Aid or escalate when necessary.
Other Duties
- Perform additional tasks as needed to support operations.
- Work under limited supervision while demonstrating initiative and sound judgment.
What You’ll Need
- Welcome members and assist with check-ins, class bookings, and portal support.
- Respond to enquiries, provide feedback, and help resolve complaints with empathy and professionalism.
- Support families with make-up lesson scheduling and general swim school guidance.

- Proven swim teaching experience across a range of ages and abilities, including additional needs.
- 12 hours/year of PD workshops and 250–700 hours/year of teaching (as per Fitness Industry Award 2020).
- Exceptional interpersonal, conflict resolution, and mentoring skills.
- Nationally recognised Teacher of Swimming and Water Safety certificate (e.g., Austswim, Swim Australia).
- CPR & First Aid certifications.
- Pool Lifeguard certificate.
- Valid Working With Children Check (relevant to your State/Territory).
